Client Profile: 

Copal Tree Lodge is a luxury eco-lodge in Southern Belize that blends sustainable travel, farm-to-table cuisine, and immersive rainforest experiences. Located above the Caribbean coast in Punta Gorda, the resort features private canopy suites, a family villa, all-inclusive packages, and guided adventures spanning jungle, reef, and cultural excursions. Copal Tree Lodge is an Orvis-endorsed fly fishing lodge and has been a member of the Muy'Ono Resort Collection since 2017.

The Challenge: 

Copal Tree Lodge needed a website that fully reflected the luxury, award-winning experience the resort offers. The previous site did not clearly showcase the property’s unique rainforest setting, accommodations, and immersive guest experiences, making it harder for potential visitors to envision their stay. As demand for luxury eco-travel and seamless online booking continued to grow, Copal Tree needed a digital presence that matched its premium brand and made it easy for guests to explore, inquire, and plan their stay.

The Solution: 

Delicious Digital rebuilt Copal Tree Lodge’s website, moving it from SquareSpace to a custom Wix site. The redesign introduced a streamlined sitemap and navigation, removing unnecessary pages and prioritizing SEO-rich content. Luxury branding was elevated through high-resolution imagery, refined typography, and cohesive design elements that highlight the resort’s exclusivity and immersive rainforest setting.

Mobile optimization was a top priority, ensuring strong performance across devices while improving load times and search visibility. Strategic calls-to-action were placed to guide visitors toward bookings and inquiries through intuitive forms and buttons. Heatmap data later confirmed strong engagement, with the Book Now button ranking among the most-clicked navigation items on desktop.

Interactive features and a consistent UI further enhanced the user experience, making it easy for guests to explore suites, villas, and resort experiences. The room preview carousel quickly became one of the most engaged homepage sections, with users frequently interacting to explore additional accommodations. Scroll tracking showed over 70% of visitors continued past the hero, demonstrating strong engagement with the site’s content and layout.

The website launch coincided with the resort’s annual Black Friday promotion, resulting in immediate measurable results. Within the first 3.5 months, Copal Tree Lodge saw a 140% increase in form submissions compared to the same time last year, generating over 400 new inquiries. 

The site also achieved a 25% decrease in bounce rate and a 9% increase in the average number of pages viewed per session. Google Search Console also reported a 6.67% increase in impressions and a 45% improvement in average search ranking position, underscoring the website’s improved SEO and visibility.
