Turtle Island Resort is an all-inclusive private island located off Ambergris Caye, just a five-minute complimentary boat ride from San Pedro. The resort features private island villas with personal plunge pools as well as an on-site restaurant serving Caribbean and international cuisine. Guests can enjoy snorkeling, diving, fishing, spa services, in-suite private chef experiences, and access to the island’s turtle refuge lagoon.
As a newly opened property off Ambergris Caye, Turtle Island Resort had limited online visibility and brand recognition in one of Belize’s most competitive tourism markets. It was challenging to establish trust and differentiate oneself from potential guests with a limited digital presence. The resort needed to quickly establish credibility, grow its audience, and compete against well-known properties, while also determining how to position itself within the broader Belize hospitality landscape.
Delicious Digital Marketing launched a multi-channel campaign to announce Turtle Island Resort as the newest addition to the Muy'Ono Resort Collection. The campaign highlighted the resort’s secluded location, private plunge pool villas, infinity-edge pool, and turtle refuge lagoon through email marketing, social media, website announcements, press coverage, and a dedicated blog post.
Organic social media posts on Turtle Island and Muy’Ono Resorts accounts drove substantial engagement. Turtle Island Resort grew its follower base by 9.9%, while Muy’Ono Resorts’ announcement post delivered a 1,180% increase in accounts reached, a 1,000% jump in impressions, and a 586% increase in profile visits.
Website traffic surged following the launch, with Turtle Island Resort seeing a 360% increase and Muy’Ono Resorts experiencing a 390% increase, effectively driving new visitors to explore the resort and learn about its offerings.
Email marketing achieved strong results, with the campaign newsletter generating 12,110 opens (44%) and 1,335 clicks (5%), showing high engagement among subscribers and interest in the resort’s unique features.
In addition to marketing, Delicious Digital implemented revenue management strategies to optimize pricing and maximize yield. Combined with the campaign, this approach drove a 343% increase in reservations, a 551% increase in room revenue, and a 16.8% increase in ADR compared to the previous weekly average.
